MISSION & HISTORY:

The Okoboji Community School Foundation was established in 1996 to enhance the facilities, services, and resources of the Okoboji Community School District and to provide broader educational opportunities to its students, staff, and residents of the district it serves.

Until summer 2016, the Foundation existed primarily for the purpose of funding and administering scholarships for our high school seniors to further their education with financial assistance and encouragement.  It is important to give our students a jump start into adulthood and hopefully they will bring their many talents and enthusiasm back to the lakes area.

As of spring 2020, the Foundation has administered over $285,250 in scholarships to 144 graduates.  Click on the Scholarship Tab for more information.

In 2016, the Foundation broadened their field of interest and established a Special Projects Committee to address enrichment needs that are currently not being met.  Additional information can be obtained by clicking on the Special Projects Tab.
