I have been a part of the Okoboji Pioneer family since August of 2010. I spent the first eight years as Okoboji High School Principal before transitioning to Secondary Principal and Director of Operations and Outreach for grades 5-12 in 2018. In this new role, I will oversee and facilitate the day to day operations of Okoboji Middle and High School as well as focusing on effective communication and outreach between school, parents, and community. I am very excited to take on this new role and challenge and look forward to being present and actively participate in the daily life of both buildings. Before coming to Okoboji, I spent four years as Secondary Principal in Lisbon, Iowa. Before my transition into administration, I taught social studies and coached track and cross country at South Tama High School in Tama, Iowa.
My wife Annie and I are both natives of the Iowa Great Lakes Area and know how blessed we were to be raised in this area. We are thrilled that our four kids are able to call this area home as well. The Okoboji district has a history of success for all students. Okoboji students are encouraged and empowered to excel both within and outside the classroom. We have a caring and experienced faculty and staff that work hard every day to ensure that all students are given the tools to succeed.
