Chris Koenck - Director of Information Technology
As Director of Information Technology, I am responsible for the overall IT framework of the Okoboji Community School District. My main objective is to ensure our students and faculty have highly available access to the technology tools required to facilitate learning and teaching in the 21st Century classroom. As the world of technology evolves so rapidly, it is imperative that decisions made today are sustainable and visionary in order to be financially responsible in the PK-12 environment. I am excited to be on board and know that I am blessed to be a part of a great team here in Okoboji!
I have spent the better part of my life in Northwest Iowa, graduating high school from Estherville Lincoln Central in 1996. After high school, I decided to spend some time serving our country in the U.S. Army as an M1A1 Abrams Tank Mechanic. I spent four years in Kansas during my time in the Army. When my initial enlistment was complete, I made the decision to leave the military and pursue an education and career. I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Computer Engineering. I was then hired by the Estherville Lincoln Central School District and served there as a Network Specialist for 7 years. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, boating, and spending time with my family and friends.
