Meet our Superintendent:

The Okoboji Community School District is excited to welcome back one of its own, alumnus Will Dible, as the new superintendent. A 2004 graduate of Okoboji, Will is honored to return to the district that shaped his educational journey and is eager to contribute to its continued success.

Will brings with him a strong background in educational leadership. With prior experience at the principal level, as a central office administrator, and as a superintendent, his experiences will help support Okoboji Schools. During his administrative career, he has led innovative programs such as No Boundaries and 3DE, overseen district-wide strategic planning, and guided significant facility projects—experiences that will serve the Okoboji district well as it looks toward the future following the recent bond passage.

At the heart of Will’s leadership is a commitment to relationships. He values being approachable, transparent, and collaborative, and he looks forward to working closely with students, staff, families, and the greater Okoboji community.

As he steps into this role, Will is both proud and grateful to serve the district he once called home as a student and to have his own children experience the amazing educational experience at Okoboji. He is excited to learn and grow alongside all Okoboji stakeholders, building on the district’s strong foundation while pioneering new pathways for every student.

Mr. Will Dible

As superintendent of the Alburnett Community School District, Dible has launched studentcentered initiatives such as 3DE, a framework designed to make high school education more experiential and relevant to real-world challenges. In addition, he has overseen facility expansions, developed the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process, and was the first district in Iowa to implement a brand new student information system (SIS) in Alma.

Prior to his current role, Dible served as principal of Spencer High School and director of school improvement for the Spencer Community School District. He holds advanced studies certificates with superintendent and principal endorsements from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in teaching from the University of Iowa. He is also an alumnus of Okoboji High School.

“I feel honored and blessed to be given this opportunity by the Okoboji School Board,” said Dible. “It is very exciting to be able to come back to the community that helped shape me and I am looking forward to serving the students, staff, families and community of the area during this time of exciting and innovative projects and initiatives.”

Dible will officially begin leading Okoboji Community School District on July 1, 2025.
