Our Okoboji educators Mrs. Clouse & Mrs. Rients took the national stage at NCTE this weekend in Denver! They presented Scrolling for Stories: How Instagram Ignites Independent Reading, sharing how KB Lit Adventure boosts student engagement and builds a culture of reading. We’re proud to have such innovative teachers representing Pioneers!

We are excited about the amazing season our Pioneer Football Team is having and LOVE the HUGE crowds we are seeing at home games to cheer them on! We have another big home game this Friday night against the Falcons of OABCIG and we need ALL of Pioneer Nation here to support our team! As we prepare for this and future home games, the Administrative Team wants to remind all students, parents, and fans of the expectations for behavior, seating, and areas of the campus that are off limits during games. These expectations help ensure all fans are safe and able to enjoy the game. Go Pioneers!

This month we celebrate our amazing principals who work tirelessly to support students, families, and staff. Principals play a vital role in shaping the culture of learning, supporting teachers, and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
Thank you to our principals for being the driving force behind excellence in education. Your leadership matters, and your impact is felt far beyond the classroom.
Today we celebrate our amazing custodians who keep our schools clean, safe, and welcoming every day. Thank you for all the hard work, care, and dedication you bring to our school community—you are truly appreciated! #CustodianAppreciation #ThankYouCustodians #SchoolHeroes #SchoolCustodianDay

Come out to the Okoboji High School South Gym starting at 7PM tonight for our 2025 Coronation and help us honor our 2025 Homecoming Grand Marshal, Sandy Alexander! Sandy graduated from Milford Community Schools in 1969 along with her eventual husband Bill. Sandy worked as an Administrative Assistant at Okoboji Elementary School for 32 years. For generations, Sandy was the first person people saw when they entered OES and she greeted everyone with a smile. Students have fond memories of telling Sandy their stories, seeing her fun and flashy jewelry around holidays, and just knowing she was there to care for them every single day! Sandy has always been a strong, proud supporter of the Pioneer family and community!
We will honor Sandy, introduce our 2025 Homecoming Court, crown our King and Queen, and have some fun with our live Court Trivia game before setting the nets for our Beefcake Volleyball Championship between the Seniors and Sophomores and Powderpuff Championship between the Juniors and Freshmen! OFA will have the indoor concession stand open before coronation so come hungry and get some snacks!
